Epson iPrint on PC: Epson iPrint is a Free App, developed by the Seiko Epson Corporation for Android devices, but it can be used on PC or Laptops as well. We will look into the process of How to Download and install Epson iPrint on PC running Windows 7, 8, 10 or Mac OS X.
Epson iPrint is the perfect accessory for your Epson wireless printer. With the free app you can easily print your documents and pictures from your Android smartphone via the home network. You can even scan with the remote solution – but here, unlike the print function, not all devices are supported. Whether the free app can really compete with a PC solution, the test shows. If you’re using an Epson wireless printer, “Epson iPrint” is definitely a must. Printing is not more convenient from a smartphone or tablet. Also, the integration of cloud storage is successful and certainly forward-looking – so you can print all documents from anywhere, without first copying the files back and forth. The overall impression is clouded only by the partially poor print quality. Here you have to readjust a lot – and who has very high standards, that will not be enough. You also need to spend more time with Word documents. If you own a printer from another brand, you will also find your own app in the Google Play Store, such as “HP ePrint Home & Biz”. Already at the start, the app browses your home Wi-Fi network for available printers and connects to them even before you know it. All you have to do is select your desired document and send the print command. The delay until the start of printing is extremely short – this is not faster even with a USB connection. Even from the far corner of the house, the print jobs in the test were always processed quickly and reliably. If you’ve already switched to cloud storage, “Epson iPrint” does it twice: You do not need to download your documents first and then save them on your mobile phone. The app can directly access known providers such as Dropbox or Google Drive and print files stored there. This worked flawlessly in the test with documents from the “Dropbox”. So that you are not surprised by an empty printer cartridge, the app can even read the status of your printer. This will give you information about the level of the cartridges at any time or if there is a fault on the device. The default settings of the Android app provide a very moderate print quality – this is hardly noticeable on typed documents, but already a logo appears blurred and pixelated. Here you have to change some print settings to achieve a satisfactory quality – unfortunately the possibilities are also limited. If you have a Word document, the app can not do anything with it at first. If you still want to print it, “Epson iPrint” first converts it to a PDF file. This detour is incomprehensible and takes time. Version update: The current version 4.0.2 now supports the latest Android platform. (App review originally written by Martin Gresse)
